About

Devyn Waldron, MSW, LCSW

Rooted in Community, Dedicated to Your Healing.

I believe that no child or person should have to carry the weight of trauma alone. My journey to becoming a therapist began with a deep desire to empower and support the families in our community.

My Path to Practice

After earning my Bachelor of Social Work at Appalachian State University, I completed my Master of Social Work through the Joint MSW program at UNC Greensboro and N.C. A&T State University.

For the past four years, I have specialized in trauma recovery, with my career dedicated to the community Child Advocacy and Sexual Assault Response Center. This experience has allowed me to support individuals and families through their most difficult chapters, providing me with a profound respect for the resilience of the human spirit.

My Philosophy

I carry the utmost respect for the strength of the individuals and families I work with. I operate from the fundamental belief that you are the expert on your own experience—and your child’s experience. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside you, providing a safe, dedicated space to process your story at a pace that honors your nervous system.

I don’t just work with “clients”; I work with families. I believe that healing is most effective when it is a collaborative journey, which is why I provide a playful and protected environment for children to process their world while equipping parents with tangible tools. My goal is to support you in becoming the bridge of healing at home, ensuring that the peace we cultivate in session carries over into your daily life.
